When the weather gets cold, it can be prime time for sickness. Here are three tips to you help you stay healthy so you can continue training.
Increase your Vitamin C intake
Vitamin C is a multi-tasking powerhouse for your immune system. It’s safe to use and helps fight against a variety of diseases and illnesses. Plus, it is readily available in foods such as bell peppers, dark leafy greens, broccoli, kiwi fruit, tomatoes, peas, and papayas. You can also ingest it in supplement form. Just be sure to read your labels and talk to your doctor beforehand.
Keep Your Gear and Uniform Clean
Here at IMPACT, we understand that when you train hard that means sweaty uniforms and equipment. Keep the fungus and germs away from yourself and your teammates by properly cleaning and maintaining all your gear. One of our mantras on the mats is, “Take care of your equipment and your equipment will take care of you.”
