It was a full weekend for the Tribe filled with our usual Saturday grind back at the school, a Sayoc Kali seminar in Portsmouth, and BJJ belt testing in Richmond with our BJJ black belt and great friend, Professor David. Over half a dozen IMPACT rollers including our master instructor and our brown belt, drove up to Richmond to support our Richmond brothers and sisters and to celebrate Professor David’s birthday, which was the day before.
It was an awesome afternoon of great training and testing with our BJJ family from northern Virginia and Maryland. It is always an exciting and learning experience to be a part of BJJ testing and this go round, we got to to celebrate with 6 new blue belts, 3 new purples belts, 3 new brown belts, and 8 new stripes. We were grateful to be a part of their big day and to celebrate with them as well as with our Professor.
