According to Norris Coburn, CEO and founder of Boss Body, the Boss Body : Health and Fitness Expo was designed to : “Bring all walks of life of Health and Fitness together under one roof for a fun filled day of Fitness demos, games, prizes, and priceless information from the top Fitness gurus in the Hampton Roads.” We had the great opportunity to be featured as a fitness expert and to demonstrate what IMPACT has to offer during this year’s 2nd annual Boss Body : Health and Fitness Expo.
Our contribution to the prizes portion of the expo was a donation of a 10 class pass valued at $250 to be a part of the grand prize. Plus, we handed out some free glove keychains to those expo participants. Two of our Tribe members, who attended in support of IMPACT, even won a raffle prize! For our demonstration portion, Simo Eloy and Ate Sarah showcased Filipino Martial Arts as the final demo for the entire expo. They showcased double stick work, blade work, empty hands, and flexible weapon using a malong (large infinity scarf like fabric). Simo Eloy even gave a little demo on whip technique and how it carries over into our overall training. Special thanks to Norris for inviting us to be a part of this fun event and to all the people we met and with whom we were able to connect. It was a great experience of meeting new people, sharing information about IMPACT, and being surrounded by people dedicated to living a healthy lifestyle.
