The IMPACT Tribe and Guro Dan Inosanto
Known by several different titles such as Ajarn, Guro, Coach, and Sifu, Dan inosanto was one of Bruce Lee’s senior students and is one of only three individuals today who have been certified as a full instructor. Guro Dan teaches multiple styles of martial arts, such as Silat, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Filipino Martial Arts, and more, at his school in Marina Del Rey, California. Among those that attended his seminar was Impact’s master instuctor, Ervin Quintin, who has been a student of Guro Dan’s for quite some time.
When our students were asked what they enjoyed most about this event, the most common answer was the stories they heard. While the techniques being taught are certainly noteworthy, Guro Dan has been training in the martial arts for many years and has had the opportunity to meet and train with countless influential people, making his story telling something that many poeple find a memorable experience.
